Stepping into Emptiness:
An 8-week Online Class with nico hase
Tuesdays, June 11 - July 30
5 pm to 6:30 pm, pacific time
online via Zoom
The Buddhist path culminates in liberation through a direct and abiding recognition of emptiness. But most practitioners find it difficult to access and sustain these deeper states.
In this 8-week, experiential course, we'll start from accessible understandings of emptiness, and then scaffold our way gradually into deeper levels of insight. Each class will include a meditation, group process, a dharma talk, and conversation around the topic. We will cover topics such as the emptiness of the self, the emptiness of appearances, the three characteristics, and dependent origination, among other themes.
Our hope is to make the class as hands-on as possible, with optional meditation assignments you can try on for yourself each week.
This 8-week class will be held on consecutive Tuesdays: June 11, 18, 25 and July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.
