And Then You Die: A Five-Week Course for Embracing Hard Truths

And Then You Die:
A Five-Week Course for Embracing Hard Truths

Wednesdays, June 4 to July 2, 2025
5pm to 6:30pm, pacific time
online via Zoom

Stop Running. Start Living.

The whole world wants us to ignore what's difficult. But what if turning toward life's hard truths is exactly what brings the calm, connection, and joy we're seeking?

Join Buddhist teacher and psychologist, nico hase, for this transformative five-week journey into the heart of what matters most. Based on years of experience with these reflections, this course offers ancient wisdom and practical tools for modern life—delivered with warmth, humor, and zero spiritual bypassing.

What You'll Learn

Each week, we'll face one fundamental truth that most of us spend our lives avoiding:

  • Week 1: Aging Is for Everyone — Discover how embracing the continuous process of aging can actually make you feel more alive and present

  • Week 2: When Illness Strikes — Learn powerful Buddhist practices for working with physical discomfort, vulnerability, and the inevitability of illness

  • Week 3: And Then You Die — Explore how contemplating mortality can be profoundly liberating and lead to greater meaning, love, and joy

  • Week 4: Things Fall Apart — Find freedom in impermanence and develop resilience for life's inevitable transitions and losses

  • Week 5: What You Do Matters — Understand karma as the simple reality of cause and effect, and how this understanding can transform your daily choices

What's Included

  • Weekly 90-minute live sessions with nico hase (all recorded for your convenience)

  • Midweek 30-minute meditation check-ins for community support (optional)

  • Private online community for discussion and connection between sessions
