Recognizing Awareness:
A 4-week Online Class with nico hase
Tuesdays, March 4 to 25
5pm to 6:30pm, pacific time
online via Zoom
Nonduality. Emptiness. Awareness. We hear these words a lot these days. But what do they even mean? And how are they related? And why do they matter?
In this hands-on 4-week course, we will answer these questions and more. Drawing on his six years in a Zen monastery, his three-year retreat in the Mahamudra tradition, and his decades of experience in the Insight tradition, nico will unpack the lineage histories of these practices, how they relate to one another, and why they matter. Along the way, we will focus on the liberating potential of recognizing the subtle presencing of awareness itself, and how this leads to the unbinding of our habitual patterns of contraction and agitation, as well as the natural cultivation of love, compassion, and equanimity.
Our time together will be as experiential as possible, with optional meditation assignments you can try on for yourself each week.
This 4-week class will be held on consecutive Tuesdays: March 4, 11, 18, and 25. All lectures will be recorded, and it is no problem if you need to miss a class or two along the way.
