Held By Integrity:
A Daylong Retreat with Rhonda Magee & nico hase

Saturday, February 7th
10 am to 4 pm pacific time

How do we live in a way that doesn't create more suffering—for ourselves or others?

This is the question at the heart of sila parami, ethical conduct. But sila isn't a rigid list of do's and don'ts handed down from on high. It's a living, breathing sensitivity to the interconnectedness of all life.

When our actions arise from wisdom rather than reactivity, from love rather than fear, we begin to move through the world in a way that heals rather than harms. This is the path of the practitioner, and it starts with the simple question: "What would love do here?"

🌳🌳🌳

In this one-day online retreat, nico & Rhonda will explore sila parami through practice and dialogue—discovering how wisdom guides our actions.

The day will begin with an hour of conversation and an opening talk around the theme. We'll then sit and walk for four hours in lightly guided practice, before reconvening for a closing talk and further dialogue.

"Rhonda, having the opportunity to learn from you and bathe in your fierce compassion has changed my life forever. Thank you for seeing me and giving me the gifts of your radiant heart." — K.C.S.

"Working with nico radically changed my perspective on myself, my life, and what well-being really means. His clear and kind-hearted support shaped not only my personal world, but also my career. I am forever grateful for nico's wisdom and engaged presence and continue to look to him for inspiration and guidance along the way." — Gabrielle Farquhar, MPH, Mindfulness Program Coordinator, Boston Medical Center

A Full Path of Practice—Rooted in Community

This daylong is the second in our 2026 series of ten online daylong retreats on the paramis hosted by Refuge of Belonging, a community rooted in dharma, built on shared presence and open to anyone curious about inner transformation. Daily Dharma Community: Join our WhatsApp conversation - open to all, whether you attend retreats or not. The conversation continues year-round with ongoing daylongs, weekly talks, quarterly classes, and community practice.

The ten paramis ("furtherances" or "completions") are foundational to the Buddhist path of awakening. Spanning states of the heart from kindness and equanimity to resolve and renunciation, they offer us a time tested way forward, a manner of cultivating what most truly benefits ourselves and others, both right now, in this moment, and as a stepping stone to final liberation.
