at Hidden Springs Wellness Center
Friday, May 11, 2018
7pm - 9pm
This two-hour evening event is the opening teaching for a daylong workshop on May 12. The Friday evening teaching is open to all, donation based, and there is no need to preregister. All profits will be donated to Ashland Supportive Housing.
We all know by now that mindfulness is good for you. In fact, literally thousands of studies have been published in the past decade showing that taking a few minutes a day to sense into your breath, your body, and your world has beneficial effects for everything from your immune system to your stress levels to your emotional health.
In this two-hour evening event, Devon and Craig will lead participants through the empirical support for mindfulness and introduce them to a series of heart-based meditation practices.
For those interested in more practice, this evening will be followed by a daylong workshop, "Mindfulness and the Good Life" also at Hidden Springs Wellness Center from 10-4 on Saturday. Preregistration for the daylong is recommended. Learn more here.
About Devon and Craig Hase
Devon and Craig have studied with some of the great meditation teachers of our time. When they are not in months-long retreat, they teach mindfulness widely in the United States and Europe.
Joseph Goldstein, the co-founder of Insight Meditation Society and author of acclaimed works on mindfulness, says of them, "Devon practitioners, with a strong dedication to their own meditation journey. They have immersed themselves for many years in long intensive practice, and I highly recommend their mindfulness teaching."
