Mindfulness & the Good Life: A Workshop in Ashland, OR

  • Hidden Springs Wellness Center 635 Lit Way Ashland, OR, 97520 United States (map)

at Hidden Springs Wellness Center
Friday, May 11, 7-9pm
Saturday, May 12, 10am - 4pm

Over a decade of research suggests that understanding our purpose in life contributes to well-being, resilience, ethical decision making, and a host of other positive outcomes. In this workshop Devon and Craig Hase will use mindfulness - the practice of bringing ourselves to the fullness of the present moment - to explore our deepest values. Together we will explore how understanding our vision of the good life can enhance our actions in the world and our sense of joy, purpose, and meaning.

  • Learn essential mindfulness techniques and heart practices
  • Develop skills to decrease emotional reactivity and burnout
  • Practice mindful movement with yoga teacher Libby Edson of YoMind
  • This workshop begins with a Friday evening teaching from 7-9pm that is open to the public and donation based. All profits will go to Ashland Supportive Housing. The teaching will explore the empirical support for mindfulness and introduce heart-based mindfulness practices.

"Thank you for a truly amazing weekend. I thought that the experience was incredibly well-designed. I love both of your voices and I am sure your words will often be with me when I engage in these practices."
-Dr. Katerine Bielaczyc, Professor of Education, Clark University
