Heart Practices: A Daylong Retreat

  • Bodhi Tree Meditation Center 654A Judd St, Honolulu, HI United States (map)

During this daylong retreat, we'll practice sitting and walking meditation in silence together. There will be guided practices, dharma talks, and time for discussion, as well as silent group lunch. Together we’ll be working to recognize and cultivate the good stuff through a process of dialogical inquiry.

Also, here’s what we think:

  • Kindness, compassion, equanimity, and joy are innate to the human heart

  • When we bring attention to these qualities, they grow

  • So let’s do that

This retreat is open to people of all faiths, persuasions, races, ethnicities, nationalities, ages, resources, sexual orientations, gender orientations, and ranges of ability.

For questions and to register email Linda Engelberg - engel@hawaii.edu.

Please bring a bag lunch.
Retreat is offered on a dana (donation) basis.

Devon and Craig have studied with some of the great meditation teachers of our time. When they are not in months-long retreat, they teach mindfulness widely in the United States and Europe.

Joseph Goldstein, the co-founder of Insight Meditation Society and author of acclaimed works on mindfulness, says of them, "Devon and Craig are deeply experienced practitioners, with a strong dedication to their own meditation journey. They have immersed themselves for many years in long intensive practice, and I highly recommend their mindfulness teaching."
